Develop your skills in multi-operator puppetry in this one-day workshop with renowned puppetry director Mervyn Millar. Identifying and exploring key principles and challenges in combining the imaginations and skills of two, three or more puppeteers to create complex, multi-layered characters on stage.
Participants will develop scenes using combined objects and three-person paper puppets in the Handspring style, focusing on building clarity through breath, cooperation, control and intention. We will also look at the challenges of larger multi-operator creatures.
Suitable for all levels of experience, the session will be a practical one creating and developing characters and action.
