This event is a part of SNAPSHOTS, a strand of programming at MANIPULATE that presents works-in-progress at various stages of their development.

When Bernard, a young Jewish boy, is forced to leave his home city of Paris with just his parents and his pet canary for company, a dangerous journey in search of safety begins. The Yellow Canary is both an epic true story and a leap into the imagination of a young child desperate to escape the horrors of war, exploring love, loss and what it means to flee your home. It is a show for all ages comprising storytelling and animation and will be performed live, for an online audience.

This work in progress is the second development of The Yellow Canary and brings together performance maker Tashi Gore with visual theatre expert Ross MacKay and playwright Will Gore to work in a new digital format.

Tashi Gore is a performance maker, producer and consultant who has worked in Theatre for 16 years.
