A fun evening with chats and games to reflect and explore how we can take responsibility when designing characters and actively make decisions about how we portray people to challenge stereotypes and promote positive messages of empowerment, diversity and inclusion.
Everyone is welcome of any gender and no prior experience of drawing is required. Just bring your favourite drink and drawing gear!
Panimation (previously known as Punanimation) is a multi-platform community for women, trans and non-binary people working within animation and motion graphics. It was founded in February 2015, by three friends: Bee Grandinetti, Hedvig Ahlberg, and Linn Fritz, who were a bit tired of the industry being too much of a boy’s club and decided to do something about it.
What started initially as a Facebook group, grew to become a community with local sub-groups, physical meet-ups and events in several cities all over the globe. The community also expanded to different platforms: Instagram – where they showcase diverse work from creators every week and a directory to help decision-makers on their search for more diverse talent.
