The pandemic has had a devastating effect on the livelihoods of artists across Scotland and the world, not only in its immediate effects but in the deeper structural issues and inequalities that it has exposed within our sector. This event is a chance to dream big together about how we might build back a sector that better serves everyone within it and the communities around us.
Three freelance puppeteers and visual theatre artists will offer their provocative visions for a better sector, with the opportunity after each to discuss their ideas and others in response to these. The focus of the event will be specifically around the artforms of puppetry and visual theatre but may take inspiration from other parallel artforms or sectors.
This is a free industry-facing which is open to anyone and everyone – you can attend just to listen or to share your views.
If you would like to participate in this event and require a BSL interpreter, please contact us as soon as possible and we will do our best to accommodate your needs
