Having previously appeared at MANIPULATE with its productions Light! Twin Houses and Kefum Nahum, leading Belgian Compagnie Mossoux-Bonté led our 10th anniversary celebrations with its new piece Whispers. We also welcomed Sabine Molenaar back with Touch Me, Sita Pieraccini with Make A Hoo and Tortoise in a Nutshell with Fisk, as well as programmed for the first time Compagnie La Pendue (France) with Poli Degaine, Sens Equivoc (Canada) with La Causeuse, Agrupación Señor Serrano (Spain) with A House in Asia and Pickled Image (England) with the riotous Coulrophobia. We were also very pleased to feature main house productions from leading Scottish artists and companies Al Seed (Oog), Melanie Jordan (Sanitise) and Company of Wolves (The End of Things). The festival programme was rounded off with two retrospectives highlighting the diverse range of the many brilliant, award-winning Scottish, UK and international short animated films we had screened over the previous decade.
