In 2015 animated films featured prominently, with substantial programmes curated and introduced by leading international Estonian animator Ülo Pikkov, English artists Thomas Hicks and Robert Morgan and from Scotland Ainslie Henderson, Will Anderson and Clare Lamond. Celebrated companies and artists appearing at the festival for the first time included All or Nothing Aerial Dance (Scotland) with Three’s A Crowd, Sabine Molenaar (Belgium) with Sandman, CEC (Italy) with Tristissimo and Sandglass Theater (USA) with its landmark production Autumn Portraits. Leading Scottish-Singaporean artist Ramesh Meyyappan also made his MANIPULATE debut with Butterfly, a new production subsequently presented and greatly acclaimed at leading festivals around the world. Finally, AHKE also returned with Mr Carmen and Paper Doll Militia with Unchained.
